USA based Verizon Wireless announced three new Mobile Broadband plans will be
added to the company's Prepaid portfolio with prices from US$15 per day for
75MB worth of data downloads.
The Czech Republic division of Vodafone has reported that it saw an increase in
overseas use of mobile phones by its subscribers. Unequivocally the fastest
growth, 2.5 times, was seen in the increase in volume of downloaded data; the
amount of sent SMS increased by one quarter and the amount of called minutes
from abroad increased by ten percent.
T-Mobile UK has revamped its website. The company said that the changes to all
1,500 pages of the website were based on customer insight and feedback. Key to
this was updating the layout of each page using a landscape format which means
the size of each page has been significantly expanded.
MTS Uzbekistan has launched an updated version of its WAP-portal, with a new
tariff where users are billed per click and not time online.
USA based cable operator, Comcast has expanded its WiMAX network to its home
town of Philadelphia. Comcast is selling wireless data services following its
investment in Clearwire in November 2008.
