Comverse has announced that United Telecommunications Services (UTS), an
incumbent telecommunications provider in the Caribbean, is in the final stages
of deploying its ONE Billing and Active Customer Management solution across its
entire subscriber base. UTS is deploying BSS in seven territories (Curacao,
Bonaire, Sint Maarten [Dutch], Saint Martin [French], Sint Eustatius, Saba and
Suriname).
Ericsson and United Arab Emirates-based operator du, have signed a three-year
managed services agreement.
Vodacom Tanzania has signed up the 1 millionth user of its M-Pesa mobile money
service. The service was launched in the country in April 2008.
