Bell Canada has confirmed that it will offer a MiFi product, the Novatel Wireless 2372 when it launches its HSPA+ upgrade next month. The MiFi 2372 offers simultaneous Wi-Fi based connectivity for up to five devices or users with the backhaul to the network being carried over the 3G cellular network.
Vodafone has expanded a partnership with Czech Railways to put retail sales points in more train stations. The plan is to put sales points in over 900 stations throughout the country.
Digicel Jamaica and Digicel Group are to combine their respective offices in a new office building, based in downtown Kingston area. Digicel is currently in the final stages of negotiating terms and carrying out feasibility studies on a plot of land right on the waterfront in downtown Kingston.
Vodafone Qatar says that it has signed up its 250,000th subscriber since it launched the network in July this year. Last month the company had 150,000 customers, and has signed up the additional 100,000 largely since it launched a low-cost international call offer.
NII Holdings - which trades as Nextel - has contracted with SmartTrust for SIM and handset OTA management in its networks in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Chile.
