Australia's Optus has announced a range of new wireless broadband tariffs in
time for the local summer months. The tariffs start from AUD15 per month for 1GB
of data or, for heavier users, AUD55 per month for 7GB of data
Malta's Go Mobile is to start selling the BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone with
immediate effect.
Moldova's Moldcell is offering a Nokia 1208 phone for 799 lei, that then comes
with an initial credit of 799 lei for calls all over Moldova and the world.
Orange Switzerland has re-launched a tariff, Optima which offers free calls to
three numbers on any Swiss mobile phone or fixed-line network. The company said
that about 60% of calls by Optima customers today are dialed to one of their
three Optima numbers in the Orange and the fixed-line network.
Lime (formerly Cable&Wireless) has announced a US$200,000 sponsorship of the
2010 CARIFTA Games, which will be held on the Cayman Islands. The event, which
is usually held during the Easter period, involves more than 150 events
including sprints, distance races, relays and field events.
Slovenia's Mobitel has launched a web platform for advertisers seeking to target
mobile consumers via MMS and SMS based messages.
