Telus Confirms Launch Date for HSPA+ Upgrade
Canada's Telus has announced that it will launch its HSPA+ network upgrade next week - on 5th November, 2009. The network will offer a theoretical peak rate of up to 21 megabits per second.

"Our new wireless network enables advanced speeds and services for more than 30 million Canadians based on the most innovative wireless technology available today. More importantly, it offers Canadians more choice and timely access to almost all major mobile devices in the world across Telus' three leading wireless networks."
The network was built in partnership with Bell Canada, with the infrastructure supplied by Nokia Siemens Networks and Huawei Technologies.
Telus will offer a number of new devices from HTC, Huawei, LG, Nokia, RIM, Samsung, and Sierra Wireless in time for the holidays, including some on an exclusive basis.
Telus confirmed that it plans to support its legacy CDMA and iDEN networks for the foreseeable future.
The company also announced that it will launch the Apple iPhone 3GS on the same day.
