Samsung to Supply LTE Modems to TeliaSonera from 2010
TeliaSonera says that it has secured delivery of Samsung supplied data modems for its LTE launch in Sweden and Norway in 2010. TeliaSonera's goal is to be the first operator in the world to launch LTE on a commercial basis.
"The 4G modems from Samsung will play a very important role in our 4G launch in Sweden and Norway," says Kenneth Karlberg, President and Head of Mobility Services, TeliaSonera. "We look forward to sharing Samsung's world leading mobile experience when offering our customers a whole new way of enjoying mobility services."
TeliaSonera is planning to offer LTE services in Stockholm and Oslo in 2010.
