America Movil Deploys Amdocs to Support Triple-Play in Dominican Republic

­Amdocs has announced that Dominican Republic telco, CODETEL has deployed its CES (customer experience systems) for convergent wireline, wireless, broadband and IPTV billing, ordering and customer relationship management.

CODETEL is the largest telecommunications full service provider in the Dominican Republic, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of America Movil, with Claro as its mobile brand.

"Amdocs is a long-time partner and continues to deliver value with its software, extensive systems integration expertise and local support," said Oscar Pena, chief executive officer of America Movil's Dominican Republic Operations. "Amdocs' CRM, ordering and billing products are proven to support any line of business, and will enable America Movil to reduce operational expenditures, while fulfilling the vision of delivering innovative multi-play offerings."

CODETEL uses Amdocs for wireless billing and has now expanded its use to support its wireline, IPTV and broadband Internet business. Amdocs has enabled CODETEL to consolidate systems across multiple lines of business on integrated Amdocs software, and CODETEL has also deployed Amdocs' customer management products for ordering.
