Vodafone Executive Murder Trial Starts
The trial has commenced over the stabbing to death of a Vodafone executive at
her country home. Vodafone UK's head of business analysis, Sally Sinclair has
died following an attack last August. Her husband has been charged with the
murder.
She was married to her husband, Alisdair in 1987 and he reportedly worked from home whilst looking after the children.
Alisdair Sinclair, 48 has denied murder at the trial at Winchester Crown Court. He has claimed that he only attacked his wife after she attacked him first.
In the opening of the trial, a child who cannot be named for legal reasons gave evidence via a video link to the court to testify what he saw on the night.
The child said the couple had started arguing in the afternoon, and heard a scream in the evening when he saw both adults holding knives. The child described how Alisdair Sinclair stabbed his wife several times.
Mrs Sinclair's mother, Nikki Alford, had earlier told the court that her daughter was about to seek a divorce from her husband. The court was told Sinclair attacked his wife when she finally admitted to seeing someone else.
Mrs Sinclair had two twin children aged eleven years.
The trial continues.
