Astellia Wins Latin American Network Monitoring Contracts

­Nextel International has awarded a contract to Astellia to monitor its networks in selected Latin American markets. The contract is to compliment Nextel's (NII Holdings) existing network management services.

Astellia's monitoring and optimization solution will be deployed in five countries in Latin America where NII Holdings operates: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Chile.

As of June 30, 2009, NII Holdings has 6.7 million customers connected to its five national networks.
