Huawei Signs Vendor Financing Deal with Etisalat

Huawei says that it has signed a Global Framework Agreement (GFA) and vendor financing deal with UAE based Etisalat. In addition, Etisalat and Huawei are to jointly establish an Application Innovation Center (AIC) to develop customized solutions and applications.

"As the global economic downturn intensifies, both Etisalat and Huawei will jointly overcome these challenges through our partnership that has been established based on mutual trust and a win-win strategy. We are dedicated to addressing market needs in the most beneficial way to both parties and the whole society," said Madam Sun Yafang, Chairperson of Huawei.

No detailed information was forthcoming about planned network contracts or financing packages.
