Huawei Launches CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision B Solution

Huawei Technologies has launched what it says is the first commercially-ready CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) Revision B Solution. The platform supports a downlink rate of up to 9.3 Mbps and an uplink rate of up to 5.4 Mbps.

"Huawei is leveraging its leadership in CDMA network development and deployment to help operators be first-to-market with the fastest data speeds and the most attractive mobile Internet services," said Mr. Zhao Ming, president of Huawei CDMA product line, "Our EV-DO Revision B solution provides a cost-effective and enhanced option for CDMA operators and it also ensures a smooth migration path to Long-Term Evolution (LTE)."

According to the Mobility Infrastructure Quarterly Report from Dell' Oro, Huawei is the market leader in CDMA networks with more than 30 percent market share in the first three months of 2009.
