Brazzaville, Kinshasa Standardise Radio Frequency Management
APA Brazzaville (Congo) Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have set up a joint coordination committee for the management of common interest projects in telecommunications, a memorandum signed in Brazzaville said Monday.
The two countries will formalize interconnection agreements between their operators and will set up a telecommunication research institute in order to better harmonise the sector in keeping with the ITU standards.
Furthermore, they will coordinate radio programs along their borders for a fair access to frequency resources and coordinate the change their frequencies from analogy to digital.
Brazzaville and Kinshasa also intend to set up a joint structure in charge of monitoring the two underwater optical fibre connection projects between the two closest cities in the world.
